How to Sign “Library” in Sign Language

If you are in school, it’s likely that you might visit your campus library. Now you know how to let someone know where you’re going or how to ask how to get there!

Signing “Library”

  1. Hand shape: Form your dominant hand into an “L” handshape.
  2. Hand location: Raise your hand at about chest level.
  3. Movement: Move your hand in a circle in the direction of your dominant hand a few times.
  4. Facial expression: Keep a neutral facial expression.

Note

If you want to sign “LIBRARIAN,” use this sign as the base, then sign “PERSON.”
